With the BCC now allowing verge planting, my client, who runs a highly rated ecology based architectural practice, needed a safe and clear pedestrian access way through their planted verge. The solution came by using galvanized steel edging to build up a level path and installing Tiff Tuff sports turf, a hard wearing and shade tolerant fine leaved Bermuda grass for the surface. What a city we would have if all suburban footpaths could be like this!
